How to Add Music to MySpace
In addition to connecting with friends, the main purpose of MySpace is to take your own little sliver of the Internet and create a profile that expresses your individuality and exhibits your personality and interests. Music plays a big role in helping to shape the picture of what kind of person you are, which is why you may be interested in adding it to your MySpace profile.
Instructions
- Log into MySpace.
- Visit the Music section of MySpace located at the top of the page.
- Find the song that you want to add to your profile. You can do this by first searching for the artist’s page, then select from the list of songs they have available. If you see an Add link by the song, the artist has given permission for MySpace users to add the song to their profile.
- Once you click the Add link, a prompt will appear asking “Do you really want to add this song to your profile?” Click yes and the song will be added to your profile.
- To select whether or not you want your song to automatically play when someone visits your profile, click the Edit Profile link on your home screen. Click Profile Songs, and you will see a check box labeled Enable My Profile Song to Automatically Start. Depending on your preference, you can check or un-check this box and save your changes.
- To change your song, click the Add button next to a different song and your current song will automatically be replaced.
- If you would like to remove the music from your MySpace profile, click the Edit Profile link on your home screen. Click Profile Songs and then Delete.
*You are only allowed to add one song to your profile at a time.
