Internet Explorer is an Internet browser that comes automatically installed on PCs. Many believe it is the least reliable and efficient browser, but it can be difficult to remove. Sometimes the problem is newer versions of Internet Explorer. If you want to downgrade to a previous version, removing the latest version and reinstalling an older version can be done by visiting the Microsoft website. However, there are ways to remove all versions of Internet Explorer if you prefer to use another browser, such as Safari or Google Chrome.
How to Uninstall Internet Explorer 9
To uninstall the newest version of Internet Explorer 9 in either Windows 7 or Windows Vista, go to the Start Button. In the bar, type “programs and features” in the search box. Next, click “view installed updates” in the left pane. Look for “Uninstall an Update” and scroll down to “Microsoft Windows.” Right click on “Windows Internet Explorer 9” and click “Uninstall,” and then, “Yes.” You will then receive a prompt to “Restart Now” or “Restart Later.” Be sure to save and close any other programs before accepting a restart. The process of un-installation will not be completed until you restart. Restarting makes the previous version of Internet Explorer on your computer and it is not necessary to reinstall.
